Everyone knows Andre Kim, not just as a top designer but as a brand name. He's undoubtedly Korean fashion's most recognizable figure.
Kim may have originally made his name in fashion, but today his brand is linked with a variety of high-end products such as handbags, lingerie, children's clothes, bicycles, refrigerators, credit cards and even apartments. Each product has the same high standard of elegance and luxury ― qualities for which Kim is renowned.
This month, Kim launched a new line of posh jewelry that promises to be another success. He collaborated with Korean jewelry maker Phaethon International to create the collection. The company hopes to turn the Andre Kim jewelry brand into a world-renowned luxury brand in the future.
Women of all ages will fall in love with the sparkling gold and diamond-studded necklaces, earrings, bracelets and other fashion accessories. There is a stunning pair of flower-shaped earrings with a matching necklace and brooch. Another pretty pair of earrings features a square with the initials A.K. decorated with a sprinkling of diamonds.
The collection also has exquisite gold rings decorated with jumping carp ― a symbol of wealth and strength. Also available are diamond pens, personal seals, an hourglass embossed with the elegant Andre Kim crest and a finely crafted chess set in gold.
The company said the target market for the Andre Kim jewelry collection is primarily newlyweds and young couples. The high-end gold and diamond jewelry sets will cost between five to 20 million won. Special diamond-studded pens, personal seals and custom-made jewelry may range between 20 to 30 million won.
The jewelry items come with a serial number which can be used to check for authenticity on the company Web site, as well as to register the product for after-sales service.
The beautiful jewelry pieces were first introduced to the public during an Andre Kim spring/summer collection fashion show last April. Actress Yoon Jung-hee-I and "Boys over Flowers" actor Kim Jun walked down the catwalk wearing Kim's signature romantic wedding gowns and formal wear, complemented by the dazzling array of jewels from the collection.
