"Bread" keeps drawing in more viewers, takes 6th win on TV charts

No. 1 show in the country "Bread, Love and Dreams" [KBS]

KBS' drama "Bread, Love and Dreams" maintained the top spot on weekly TV charts once again, drawing in high viewership ratings for the sixth consecutive week.

Figures from TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) and AGB Nielsen Media Research revealed that the No. 1 show in the country brought in ratings of 43.5 percent and 40 percent, respectively, during the week of August 2 to 8.

"Bread, Love and Dreams", about the success story of baker Kim Tak-koo, broke the 40 percent mark just last week after having held onto the No. 1 spot on the Wednesday and Thursday primetime lineup slot.

Meanwhile, MBC's historical drama "Dong Yi", starring Han Hyo-joo and Ji Jin-hee, remained in second place with viewership ratings of 23.5 percent on TNmS' chart and slightly lower ratings of 21.7 percent on AGB's polls.

TNmS' survey revealed that the No. 3 show in the country for the first week of August was MBC's variety show "World Changing Quiz" with ratings of 22.5 percent and AGB reported that weekend drama "Marry Me, Please" came in third place with ratings of 21.4 percent.
