Gong Yoo's fans donated 24 million won (~US$24,000) to celebrate Gong Yoo's birthday.

Official fan café "Yoo and I" celebrated the actor's 39th birthday by donating 14 million won to the Korean Children's Leukemia Hospital. They also donated 10 million won to the UNICEF.

Gong Yoo has been participating with UNICEF to protect the rights of children.
