This is Ha Jung-woo's second novel-based movie after "Roller Coaster" which is also his debut movie as a director. Unlike the first, this time, Ha Jung-woo stars in it as well.

The Chinese novel is a satire and humorous version of a man who sells his blood for money to feed his family. It rose to a best seller in 1996 when it was published and was published to Germany, Italy, France, Korea, Japan, America and other countries.

Wi Hwa was the first Chinese writer to receive the James Joyce Fund and a worldwide writer who received the Italian Literature Award, the American Vance and Nobel's New Writer Prize and the French Literature and Art Award. He also won an award at Cannes for the novel-based movie "Life".

Wi Hwa said, "There were many offers to make this novel into a movie but I hoped it to be movie-fied first in Korea where I have friendship and trust. I have watched all of Ha Jung-woo's works and I am very happy to have him direct and star in this movie. I am anxious to see how this movie is made".

Ha Jung-woo said, "I am honored to make a movie out of one of the greatest novel of all times and one that I was deeply inspired by. I am going to do my best".

This movie will be released in Chuseok next year.
