[HanCinema's Drama Review] "Three Days" Episode 13

Well, scratch that about Do-jin being a nutcase that's about to ruin everything for everybody. As far as I can tell the legal structure of the universe in "Three Days" is of complete benefit to the man. Do-jin is totally untouchable regardless of how much obscenely incriminating evidence the good guys are able to find. Even an on-the-spot assassination attempt isn't enough to at least bring the guy in for questioning.

That's not even the worst of it, actually. Apparently even a bunch of goons captured in the process of committing a crime red-handed isn't enough to put any sort of suspicion on the Jaeshin corporation. It's one thing to tie the hands of the heroes by having them work within a legal framework. "Three Days" goes way too far in letting the bad guys get away with pretty much anything. I'm at a complete loss right now as to why nobody's been arrested yet. At the very least there should be better clues here than Tae-kyeong making insane logical leaps that happen to be correct.

At this point the drmatic tension is totally shot. If this isn't enough evidence to take the villains down, how much evidence do they need? And how are we, as viewers, supposed to know when the drama's getting to the point that we really seriously know it's all over and victory has prevailed? The drama has just gotten really frustrating in the department of willing suspension of disbelief.

And unfortunately the action doesn't really make up for it. After a great fight scene against three different guys, Bo-won goes down this time without so much as a punch. And I guess Cha-yeong gets to play escape artist again, but it's really difficult to get excited about her doing the same stuff repeatedly. We seem to be hitting the same dramatic beats over and over again, but they just come off more pointless in the repetition.

Although that's not a fair statement- to call this drama a parody would imply humor, and there is none. Just another horribly stupid plan to take out Do-hwi, that works mainly because characters aren't thinking intelligently. I don't know who the real enemy is here. I'm assuming that the latest scheme this time is part of something more elaborate, but I really just don't care anymore. Everyone here is an enigma- in the sense that their actions are arbitrary, not that I want to learn more about their thought process. I mean, for pity's sake, there's only three episodes left. I should at least be able to guess what they're thinking beyond stock clichés.
