Hong Sang-soo's family are going to sue a female magazine to the Press Arbitration Commission. This magazine reported false contents and made up false conversations in a text message.

Apparently this magazine made it seem like Hong's wife gave her interview off record, as if she poured her heart out to the female reporter and made-up text messages that she never provided.

Hong's wife claims she report was made without her consent and the contents of the article weren't correct at all. She claimed she never mentioned anything about their financial conditions.

The problem became worse because of the so called 'text messages' between Hong's wife and Kim Min-hee's mother. The family claims there is no reason for them to provide text messages as evidence when the interview was conducted off record.

Hong's wife said she did talk about Kim Min-hee and the conversation she had with Kim Min-hee's mom but never provided text messages to the reporter.

The Hong family states, "We apologize for this matter. It's not one person's mistake. However, although I mentioned to the magazine that this conversation was off record, it not only broke the policy of the ethics of press but added false information. We asked the magazine to correct their mistakes but all they did was just take down the text messages and didn't do anything else. Now they are just avoiding us. We are going to sue them through the Press Arbitration Committee.

Hong Sang-soo's family haven't had an official interview with anyone besides Dispatch.
