Hyun Bin's Movies Have People Talking

Actor Hyun Bin has gone from TV to the big screen.
In the movie 'Late Autumn - 2010', he plays the role of a Korean gigolo who falls in love with Chinese actress Tang Wei.
The movie begins as Anna, a Chinese-American woman who murdered her husband seven years earlier, is released from jail for three days to attend her mother's funeral in the city of Seattle and meets Hoon played by Hyun Bin.
"The male character is attractive because he is like a gift to the woman. Despite his woes, he does not show it and makes her open her heart".
In another romance flick, 'Come Rain Come Shine' Hyun Bin plays a husband who endures the separation with his wife after she suddenly wants to end their five-year marriage.
"As the saying goes, 'you can really let somebody go if you truly love the person'. I tried to bring out that emotion in my acting".
Both of these films will be featured at the Berlin International Film Festival making Hyun Bin one of the few actors to have two films featured in the German city.
Asked about what he's like in real life, he said that he resembles the character in "Late Autumn - 2010" a bit more in that he doesn't like to show what troubles him inside and looks for other ways to express his feelings.
At the height of his career, Hyun also made headlines for volunteering to serve in the Marines as part of Korea's mandatory conscription policy.
He says he's looking forward to spending some time away from acting.
"As an actor, I cherish the two years I will be spending not acting. I think it will be an invaluable period to rediscover myself and I am looking forward to my time in the military".
Amid all the publicity, Hyun Bin's movies are drawing even greater attention.
Many wonder if his TV success will also shine as brilliantly on the big screen.
