Jang Dong-gun's "Warrior's Way" to be unveiled at PIFF

Korean actor Jang Dong-gun's Hollywood debut pic "The Warrior's Way" will be unveiled at the Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) next month, according to the film's local distributor SK Telecom.

SK announced through a press release that the Western fantasy pic will be revealed at a press conference for "The Warrior's Way" will be held on October 9 during the upcoming 15th PIFF, held for nine days from October 7.

The event will feature a video showing the process of production and highlights from the film will be shown at the event as well as a Q&A session with main star Jang, director Sngmoo Lee and producer Barrie Osborne.

Osborne, whose works include "The Lord of the Rings" series and "The Matrix", will brief media outlets about how he came to work on the film and his experience of working with a Korean actor and crew.

"The Warrior's Way", set for simultaneous release in Korea and the U.S. on December 3, is about a swordsman named Yang, played by Jang, who flees to a forgotten American town in the west to escape his bloody past but gets caught up in a battle with a local group of bandits.

The movie's cast also includes some of Hollywood's biggest names including Kate Bosworth, Danny Huston and Geoffrey Rush.

American firm Relativity Media, co-producers of Hollywood blockbusters "Salt" (2010) starring Angelina Jolie and "Public Enemies" (2009) starring Johnny Depp, holds the distribution rights for "The Warrior's Way" in the U.S.
