JYJ to hold concert next month

Korean boy band JYJ, composed of former TVXQ members Jaejoong (Kim Jae-joong), Yuchun (Park Yoo-chun) and Junsu, will hold a concert next month promoting their first worldwide album "The Beginning" which was released last week.

The group's publicist Prain Inc. announced through a press release Monday that JYJ will hold a two series of shows titled the "JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul" at the Main Olympic Stadium in Jamsil on November 27 and 28.

The shows, seating a total 100,000 fans, will be directed by Jeri Slaughter who has worked with top global artists including Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera.

"The showcase held in Seoul last week was just the beginning. JYJ will put on a superb performance which will amaze people around the world", Slaughter was quoted as saying.

JYJ had kicked off their worldwide tour which started in Seoul last Tuesday, the Korea leg of their showcases set to take place in nine cities through six countries including Hong Kong, Bangkok and Los Angeles.

The series of showcases mark the boys official start to their activities as singing trio JYJ as well as introducing their new album which went on sale October 14. A special edition of the record, limited to 99,999 copies, will be released today.

Tickets for the boy's upcoming concert will go on sale on online reservation website Interpark at 8 p.m. on October 19.

Jaejoong (Kim Jae-joong), Yuchun (Park Yoo-chun) and Junsu made their debut in 2004 as part of the popular boy band TVXQ, but despite their phenomenal success in Asia, they ceased their activities as a group after being involved in a legal dispute with the Korean agency SM Entertainment.
