KFC Publishes Promotional Brochures for Korean Directors

The Korea Film Council has published three brochures promoting Korea's three most renowned directors to the international world in cooperation with the film magazine Cine 21.
The brochures contain almost everything about Park Chan-wook, Bong Joon-ho and Ryoo Seung-wan -- their philosophy of directing, interviews, biography, filmography, and detailed information about their works -- and are written in both Korean and English. The council will send the brochures to major figures in the film industries overseas and distribute them when there special events for movies.
The council said that it published the brochures to expand overseas markets and attract foreign investment by promoting the unique characteristics of Korean directors.
It plans to publish promotional brochures for six directors this year -- three master directors devoted to establishing the identity of the Korean film and three younger directors who have achieved little recognition overseas but have great potential.
