Kim Hyun-joong Heading to Korea After Overcoming H1N1 Flu

Kim Hyun-joong, a member of the boy band SS501, has been discharged from a Tokyo hospital eight days after he was diagnosed with H1N1 flu and will return to Korea on Wednesday.

The pop star's agency DSP Media said on Tuesday, "Kim has overcome the flu but is still very fatigued. He will prepare his plans for the second half of the year and get back to work once he fully recuperates".

The other members of SS501 will take a break until Kim recovers as it is virtually impossible for the band to move ahead without its leader. But their break is unlikely to last long as they have a heavy calendar of events to prepare for, including an upcoming Asian tour and the release of a new album.

Kim came down with fever after attending an event to promote the popular drama "Boys over Flowers" in Yokohama on Sept. 5 and 6. He was diagnosed with H1N1 flu and was treated in the Tokyo hospital.
