Kim Ki-Duk's Film Receives Top Prize at Las Palmas Int'l Film Festival

The Korean film "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring" by director Kim Ki-duk received the top honor, the Golden Lady Harimaguada at the fifth International Film Festival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria that ended Sunday in Spain. The Best Photographer award also went to the movie.

If Kim's movie debuts on the Spanish silver screen, the executive body of the film festival has decided to provide 100,000 Euros (US$122,000) in financial support. The film produced last year depicts a Buddhist Monk's path of life. Just this past February, Kim also won the best directing award for his "Samaria" at the 54th Berlin Film Festival.
