Kim Ki-duk's Pieta Sold to Foreign Distributors in Toronto

South Korean film director Kim Ki-duk's award-winning movie "Pieta" has been sold to foreign distributors at the Toronto International Film Festival, the largest film festival in North America.

The South Korean film was sold to France, Japan, Brazil and the Czech Republic through fierce competition at the Toronto International Film Festival, which was held from September sixth through the tenth.

The movie is expected to be sold to more countries like the U.S., Britain and Australia, as negotiations with distributors from other countries are under way.

Pieta won the Golden Lion award for best film at the 69th Venice International Film Festival on September eighth.
