Kim Myung-min completes "Yeongasi" ahead of schedule

Top Korean actor Kim Myung-min has finished filming his latest movie, "Yeongasi" on 16 February, three days ahead of the original schedule of 19 February. The final scenes were shot at Seoul Land amusement park in Gyeonggi Province, according to a representative from MM Entertainment, Kim Myung-min's management agency.

The amusement park filming also marked the last filming scenes for Kim Myung-min's family members in the movie -- Moon Jeong-hee (wife, Kyung Sun) Uhm Ji-sung (son, Junwoo) and Yeom Hyun-seo (daughter, Yeji). The family scenes were shot in several attractions, and concluded at the Big Merry-Go-Round at Seoul Land's Fantasy Land.

In "Yeongasi", Kim Myung-min is Jae Hyuk, a father who struggles to save his family from virus-infected horsehair worms (or Yeongasi) that is rapidly affecting the population. With the help of his detective brother (Kim Dong-wan), Jae Hyuk, an employee of a failing pharmaceutical company, tries to find the drug that will fight the deadly virus that has claimed thousands of lives.

The blockbuster movie is directed by Park Jeong-woo, who also wrote the screenplay. Filming started in November 2011 and production is expected to finish on 22 February.

"Yeongasi" is produced by Ozone Films and distributed by CJ Entertainment. Release is tentatively set for mid-2012.
