[Note: A Pacemaker (sometimes called pacer or pacesetter) is an athlete who runs alongside a runner to help the runner maintain a particular speed that will take him to the finish line at the target time. Sometimes, a Pacemaker also functions as the runner's coach, motivator and tactician.]

Kim Myung-min's new movie revolves around the life of Man Ho, a retired Olympic Pacemaker in his mid-30s. Though Man Ho's running days are over, his passion for the sport is as strong as ever. In fact, he works as a delivery man in a chicken restaurant. And yes, he uses his legs (and not the scooter) to make deliveries!

The movie will employ flashbacks of Man Ho's glory days as an athlete where he got involved in a love triangle with his track and field teammates - the beautiful but arrogant pole vaulter, Mi Nyeo Sae and his running partner, Yun Ki.

In Kim Myung-min's interview with MyungMin International, he described the movie as "a touching and heartwarming story of about a selfless man who became a runner by accident". He added that "there's a lot of funny scenes in the movie".

"Pacemaker" marks the big screen debut of famous musical producer/director Kim Dal-joong whose notable works include Finding Kim Jong Wook (김종욱 찾기), the theater version of the recently released movie "Finding Mr. Destiny", and "Attack the Gas Station" (주유소습격사건) the theater adaptation of the 1999 movie of the same title.

Filming of "Pacemaker" is due to start in mid-March and it aims for a Chuseok release.
