Kim Seo-hyung and Han Suk-kyu as a Married Couple in Watcha's "Recipe for Farewell"

Kim Seo-hyung and Han Suk-kyu will appear in Watcha's original drama "Recipe for Farewell". It is a human drama about a husband's kitchen diary, who prepares meals for his wife who was diagnosed with colon cancer after divorce.

Watcha announced that Ace Maker Movie Works, which invested and distributed the movies "Black Money" and "Voice of Silence" and Beyond J, who created the drama "Nevertheless" and "The Killer's Shopping List", will co-produce its original drama "Recipe for Farewell".

"Recipe for Farewell" is based on a book of the same name published in 2018 based on the true story of Kang Chang-rae. Kang Chang-rae, a humanities scholar who only knew how to cook ramen, compiled notes that he wrote while cooking for his wife who was fighting cancer.

In the Watcha original drama, Han Suk-kyu plays the role of Chang-wook, a translator and humanities instructor in his late 40s, and Kim Seo-hyung plays the role of Da-jeong who is the CEO of a publishing company and was sentenced to terminal colon cancer.

"Recipe for Farewell" will be released exclusively through Watcha within 2022.
