Korean Animations to Appear on Main Competitions in International Festivals

Korean animations are doing exceptionally well by appearing on main competitions in international festivals.
Seoul Animation Center announced that the results of preliminary reviews from 5 international animation festivals are made public. Many works are to join the final competition, and others are invited to the festivals.

Earthworm's Death by Lee Ju-hyeong will appear on the main competition of Leipzig Documentary & Animation Festival in Germany held between October 19 and 24.

On that day by Cho Su-jin is to join the Bradford Animation Festival in the UK from November 19 through 23.

Han Nam-shik's Red Tree will compete on the final stage of Holland Festival (November 3~7) after its appearance at the Ottawa Festival (September 22~26).

In the forest by Jang Wook-sang, Story of Bologi by Kim Jin-man, and Sorrow of Superman by Jeong In-ok are invited to the Cinanima Festival to be held from November 8 through 14. These works will be screened to the public during the festival.
