The third edition of the annual event shows 55 films from 26 countries in the competitive section of International Short Films and 33 internationally acclaimed works in the Special Program section. The films in International Short Films will compete in eight categories for combined prize money of 31 million won. The 33 films in the Special Program section include works that celebrities participated in. They are "What Does the Blind Dream?," the directorial debut of local actor Yoo Ji-tae, "Tori," starring Japanese actor Asano Tadanobu, and "Those Who Love Shorts!," starring Stephen Rea from the film "Crying Game," and Korean-Canadian actress Sandra Oh and Jennifer Jason Leigh from "Last Exit to Brooklyn." The Red Shoes (Punhongsin) (2005)

Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's story "The Red Shoes", the film tells of a possessed pair of The Red Shoes, which lead the wearers to terrifying deaths. It revolves around Sun-jae, who collects shoes as a hobby. One day she finds a pair of The Red Shoes abandoned in a subway station and is mysteriously attracted to them. When she puts them on, she feels delighted but also finds a hidden desire and even fights with her daughter, who is also attracted to them. Then, Sun-jae finds out the secret behind the shoes.
