NHK documentary about Lee Byung-hun draws 12 million viewers

A recent NHK documentary about hallyu star Lee Byung-hun riveted more than 12 million Japanese viewers to their TV sets, recording viewer ratings of 9 percent. Entitled "All About Actor Lee Byung-hun", this special documentary aired Aug. 6 on NHK. The first part of the program was shown from 10:40 PM for 15 minutes, and was followed by the series All In, starring Lee. The second part, lasting 45 minutes, aired later that night at 11:50 PM.

NHK is considering rerunning the show, as the broadcaster has been flooded with requests for reruns since the show went on the air.

NHK devoted more than four months to producing the program, which describes the actor's life in an unusual way.
