Korean film director Park Chan-wook has been invited to show his latest movie, "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance" at this year's Venice Film Festival, which runs from August 31st to September 10th.
Park's new movie, scheduled for release in Korea on Friday, is the third in his revenge trilogy, following "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance" and "Oldboy".
Starring Lee Young-ae from Park's internationally acclaimed film "JSA" and Choi Min-sik who had a lead role in "Oldboy", it's about an ex-con who leaves prison and embarks on a journey of revenge.
