The popular KBS 2TV drama "Descendants of the Sun" is currently in discussion of remaking a Chinese version of the drama.

"Descendants of the Sun" is being shown in China and Korea at the same time. The records have shown over 100 million views per episode and the accumulated number adds up to more than 1 billion. This syndrome has led to discussion of a remake.

A source from NEW told Star In, "Various companies are talking to us about a remake but there is still a long way to go and it's going to take time to come to a decision".

"Descendants of the Sun" was 100% pre-produced with a production cost of 13 billion won which was collected by pre-sales and PPL. One episode was sold to China for $250,000 US dollars.

"Descendants of the Sun" is the story of a doctor and soldier in an isolated country called Uruk starring Song Joong-ki, Song Hye-kyo, Jin Goo and Kim Ji-won.
