While Jeong Mong-ju was amazed with the reformation and his plan to make it come true, Jeong Mong-ju said, "Let's do it within the system of Goryeo".

Jeong Do-jeon said, "Why and how. Goryeo is a society of noble people and Buddhists". He also added that the ideological Confucius country can't be a reformation itself.

Jeong Mong-ju refuted saying "It's a treason. Are you saying you want to begin the utopian Confucius country with treason?" Jeong Do-jeon said "I'll try to persuade you until I die".
