Taeyang to Produce Song for Pyeongchang Olympics

Taeyang of boy band Big Bang was appointed a promotional�ambassador for the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics on Wednesday.

As part of his efforts to promote the Olympics, Taeyang plans to produce a song for the event.

"I have had many experiences as a singer where people of different languages and cultures unite through music", Taeyang said. "I hope my song can help people share their passion and dreams in Pyeongchang".

Taeyang made his debut with BigBang in 2006, and was the first among the members to release a solo album in 2008.

He is currently working on a new solo single, preparing for concerts in Japan -- in Chiba on July 8 and 9 and in Kobe on Aug. 5 and 6.
