"The Throne" and "Accidental Detective" break through 4 million and 1 million respectively during Chuseok

Movies "The Throne" and "Accidental Detective" are heating up the theaters.

According to the Korean Film Council, "The Throne" came in first at the Box Office with 673,247 audiences on just the 28th alone. The accumulated number adds up to 4,263,844 in just 13 days. "The Throne" hit 2 million in a week and 3 mill in 11 days.

"The Throne" is a movie about Prince Sado who died after being locked up in a chest by his father starring Song Kang-ho and Yoo Ah-in.

kwon Sang-woo and Sung Dong-il's "Accidental Detective" had a good Chuseok too. 356,643 people went to see "Accidental Detective" on the 28th and on the 29th, the movie had recorded 1,068,068 in just six days.

"Accidental Detective" is the unofficial police story of kwon Sang-woo (Kang Dae-man) who dreams of being 'Sherlock Holmes' and Sung Dong-il (Noh Tae-soo), a legendary detective.

While the two movies are in the lead, Hollywood action movie "Maze Runner: Scorch Trials" is also doing well. The movie gathered 231, 232 people on the 28th and is 3rd in the Box Office. "Maze Runner" is about a group of competitors who make it out of the maze but arrive in another world called Scorch and struggling against a group called Wicked.
