"The Day After - 2017" was screened on the 22nd in Cannes, France at the 70th Cannes International Film Festival.

The judges were Pedro Almodovar, Will Smith and others. Tilda Swinton who starred in Hong Sang-soo's "Okja", made the time to watch this movie.

"The Day After - 2017" wasn't given much detail in the beginning so curiosity built up.

A married director of a publishing company named Bong Wan (Kwon Hae-hyo) falls in love with his junior employee Chang-sook (Kim Sae-byuk) but they break up. He heads for work just like any other day but his wife (Jo Yoon-hee-I) finds writings that seem like love letters in the house. She finds him at work but mistakes newbie Ah-reum (Kim Min-hee) as her husband's secret lover.

Just like "Claire's Camera", "The Day After - 2017" is a light and cheerful movie.

Hong Sang-soo added his humor in the movie in the lines and that made the movie seem more light.

If "Claire's Camera" was led by Kim Min-hee, "The Day After - 2017" was completely led on by Kwon Hae-hyo as he plays the thick-faced man in an affair.

The screening was a success and judges claimed it was one of the best in the competition and a standing ovation took place for about 4 minutes during the ending credit. Kim Hae-hyo seemed to get watery in the eyes.

Tilda Swinton gave her best compliments to Hong Sang-soo after the screening.
