Vietnam to Host Korean Film Fest

Actress Kim Ah-joong and director Park Chan-wook will be present at the 2007 Korean Film Festival in Hanoi. The festival opens May 31st at the National Convention Hall and will mark the 15th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and South Korea.

The festival will run for four days and feature six Korean films acclaimed at home and abroad. Opening the fest will be "200 Pounds Beauty", which has brought actress KIM stardom across Asia after successful releases in Singapore and Hong Kong.

Other films on the program are last years box office record breakers The Host and King and the Clown, along with rock-nostalgia film "Radio Star", director PARK's Berlin winner "I'm a Cyborg but that's OK", and family film "Little Brother" ("Little Brother"). Of the latter film, 500 free tickets will be provided to children at Vietnamese orphanages.

Both PARK and KIM will attend the opening ceremony which will include musical performances by Korean singer Lee Jung Hyun, punk rock band 'No Brain' who appeared in the film "Radio Star", and the Han-ul So-ri percussion band, along with Vietnamese performers.
