Two popular Korean drama series "Winter Sonata" and "Full House" will be aired throughout the United States through a cable channel.

ImaginAsian TV (iaTV), the 24 hour Asian American Television Network in U.S., announced on its homepage that it had acquired the two hit Korean drama serials from the Korea Broadcasting System (KBS) and will air "Winter Sonata" from Dec. 25 and "Full House" from Jan. 18.

"We are extremely excited to add these standout Korean drama series to our program lineup", said David Chu, SVP of programming and production at the cable channel. "Now the U.S. will have a chance to experience these trend-setting hit shows".

The two dramas are expected to air during prime time, accompanied by the host-wrapped original program, "The Lounge", hosted by Emily Chang.

While the dramas will air in Korean with English subtitles, the host wraps will be in English and will focus on giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at both drama series and an insider's guide to South Korean culture.

The two dramas and their stars, namely Bae Yong-joon of "Winter Sonata" and singer Rain of "Full House", are believed to lead "Hallyu", the Korean Wave, in Asian countries.
