'A Millionaire's First Love' Sold to Japan

'A Millionaire's First Love' (Director: Kim, Tae-gyoon; production: Boram Entertainment Inc.), an adolescent melodrama starred by Hyun Bin, was sold to Japan for 1.5 million dollars.

"We have entered into a contract with Digital Adventure, an affiliated company of Softbank, Japan, to sell 'A Millionaire's First Love' for the minimum guarantee of 1.5 million dollars", an executive from Boram Entertainment Inc. announced on Feb. 16.

It is believed that the rising popularity of Hyun Bin in Japan after the release of the hit drama, 'My Lovely Sam-Soon' ("My Name is Kim Sam-soon"), in that country must have influenced the sale.

Boram Entertainment Inc. added that, "about fifty Japanese fans of Hyun, Bin, followed him all the time when he visited the theatre that premiered 'A Millionaire's First Love' to meet the audience on the stage on Feb. 11 and 12, which again proved the popularity of Hyun Bin, in Japan".

Since its opening on Feb. 9, 'A Millionaire's First Love' has attracted 400,000 audiences by Feb. 15 nationwide.
