'Diver Yang' to Open Jeju Film Fest

The fourth Jeju Film Festival will open on September 30th with the Korean War documentary "Female Diver Yang".
Directed by Japanese Masaki Haramura, the film is about an ethnic Korean woman, Yang Hee-sung, who lives in Japan and her first visit to her hometown of Jeju Island in 53 years and makes her final visit to North Korea in 2003.
The movie depicts the tragic suffering of Koreans after the Korean War and the separation of families.
The festival will feature 30 films during its five-day run, including 20 features, four documentaries and six animation movies.
