2006/03/07 | 94 views | Permalink | Source

The South Korean box office smash "The King and the Clown" will play in Japanese theaters next spring.

Japanese media on Tuesday said a South Korean and Japanese film agency would engage in the joint distribution -- a first for a Korean film -- of "King" in Japan.

The tale of a Joseon era king and his royal jesters had drawn more than eleven-point-75 million Korean viewers as of Sunday, overtaking the 2004 film "Taegekgi" to become the country's number-one blockbuster just 67 days after its release.
