The digitally restored version of "Robot Taekwon V", the biggest box-office hit in Korean animation film history, took 16 days to attract 500,000 viewers back in 2007.

"Leafie, A Hen Into The Wild" also set the record for attracting the most audiences in the Korean animation history during opening week, with a total of 335,859 viewers over its opening weekend. Some 70,000-80,000 moviegoers a day watch the film even on weekdays. Favorable reviews have rapidly spread through word of mouth since its opening, and interest from families is increasing in the summer vacations.

"Leafie, A Hen Into The Wild" is expected to break the record set by "Robot Taekwon V", which attracted a cumulative total of 720,000 viewers, within this week to become the first Korean animation to draw over 1 million viewers.
