The documentary 'One Vision', co-produced by KBS and the other 10 ASEAN broadcasting companies, will be finally on air.

KBS initiated the co-production project plan and the 10 other ASEAN braodcasting companies, RTB (Brunei), PTV (Philippines), Metro TV (Indonesia), Mediacorp (Singapore), RTM (Malaysia), VTV (Vienam), LNTV(Laos), TVK(Cambodia), Thai PBS (Thailand), MRTV (Myanmar) participated in the production filming all across Asia for the last 5 months. With the strong request from all the participant companies, actress, Lee Young-ae who ignited the initial wave of Hallyu, took on the role as a presenter of the documentary.

The 10 ASEAN countries will launch AEC (ASEAN Economic Community), which will form one enormous market with the population of 600 million and GDP, 2.3 trillion dollars to become another axis of global economy. It can bring Korea another chance for an economic take-off. To celebrate the new formation of the community, KBS and the ASEAN 10 broadcasting companies worked together to record the dynamic aspects of ASEAN and the co-growth of Korea and the ASEAN countries in order to suggest a new 'One Vision' for the future.

There have been some challenges due to the differences in cultures and producing techniques among the participant countries, which is a nature of co-production. KBS sent its TV producers and staffs to the participating companies in each country to overcome these challenges to achieve the high quality in producing the documentary.

On August 20th, 16 producers from KBS and the ASEAN 10 broadcasting companies got together in Bangkok, Thailand and the producers agreed on the objectives, contents, and filming schedules during the three day conference. Also, there was a strong request from all the participant companies to cast Lee Young-ae as the presenter in the documentary, who is greatly popular in Southeastern Asian countries. Lee Young-ae accepted the offer sharing the objectives of the documentary.

The three support teams from KBS who prepared for the first month after the conference were sent to each of the ASEAN countries and worked together with the local producers for the last 75 days since October 10th. As a result of the collaboration, they could record all the beautiful sceneries and dynamic growth of ASEAN countries in the documentary.

Finally, last November 17th, all of the producers participated in the production got together at KBS Human Resources Development Center to edit the original film of the documentary working together for 5 days. Although it was a tough schedule going over 12 pm every day, they could wrap up the lengthy production successfully.
