'Scholar Who Walks the Night' Lee Joon-gi's eyes to vitalize parentheticals

2015/08/07 | Permalink | Source

Lee Joon-gi's eye expressions so subtle to vitalize each of parentheticals are garnering much attention.

Lee Joon-gi has been showing the amazing acting performances for his role, a sensuous vampire scholar, Kim Seong-yeol in MBC's Wednesday & Thursday miniseries, who still reserves human nature inside him.

The 10th episode of the miniseries, which was aired on August 6th, attracted a lot attention from drama lovers.

Among all the factors contributed to the attention, the main lead, Lee Joon-gi's refined acting with his eyes is most outstanding. When he finally grabbed Prince Jeong Hyeon's journal in his hands after his vigorous search, when he rescued Yang-seong (Lee Yoo-bi) and treated her injuries, Lee Joon-gi's eyes shined.

Especially when he crooned about his fate to live as a vampire who was not supposed to love a human being, his eyes soaked in ardent emotions left viewers teary-eyed.

Even a simple parenthetical, 'Watching' means a lot to Lee Joon-gi in his acting. This attitude is derived from Lee Joon-gi's passionate analysis of his character, which should be praised.

Lee Joon-gi defined the most important emotional strand of his character based on his character of this drama to be "Moderation". Because his role Kim Seong-yeol is a vampire who has been hiding for 120 years and still retained human nature inside him, he believed that expressing refined emotions with eyes is the right choice than exaggerated changes of voice tone or actions.

Viewers are reacting to Lee Joon-gi's fabulous acting performances with good reviews. Netizens on various online communities said, "Lee Joon-gi is an optimized actor for vampire role", "Were Lee Joon-gi's stares this sexy", "Honey might drop out of Lee Joon-gi's eyes", "Lee Joon-gi's acting, really great", "Lee Joon-gi's acting with eyes are truly the best" and on on.
