'Sulaebakwi (Alcohol- Loving)', think back life by alcohol

On 16th after the holiday weekend, Yeouido got shocked due to panic on America's financial market. Private investors, who got carried away, have re-started smoking despite of anti-smoking movement. Also they are looking for soju, the cheapest liquor.

The next day on 17th, joys and sorrows of a father, whose wife and children are out of Korea, is shown in the cartoons display of Gwanghwarang which is located in Gwanghwamun (Subway Line No. 5). His poverty, that he drinks even the last drop of a bottle, is expressed ridiculously. They attract the passengers' attentions.

Strong colors and fine workmanship were used in Sulaebakwi (Alcohol- Loving) of Dae-Ho Lee who is a cartoon artist based on 'Alcohol'. The exhibition will be opened until 23rd.

In his work, a liquor bottle is expressed as a tie of a guzzler. Also makgeolri (raw unrefined rice wine of Korea) is attached in a Father's favorite kettle which is used only for makgeolri. But 'A shot of soju by a goose dad (A father who endures a life of solitude after sending his children to study overseas with their mother)' which expresses a father who drinks himself in front of a mirror and 'A drinking companion of lonely man' which expresses a lonely man who drinks with a doll gives some sadness in compare to Korea's drunken sprees.

Pots of liquor, prepared by the writer, became an artwork. About ninety of them are arranged around the gallery. The ingredients are arrowroots, pine needles, azaleas, Codonopsis lanceolata, ginsengs, pineapples, and oil-and-honey pastry.

It is opened from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. But the last day on 23rd, it opens till noon.
