Korean blockbuster monster movie "The Host" has topped the Chinese box office for a second straight week.
The film directed by Bong Joon-ho has raked in some nine-point-two million yuan --- about one-point-one billion won --- in ticket sales since its release in China on March eighth.
Chinese media say that highly favorable word-of-mouth has put the movie atop the box office rankings for a second week, besting Hollywood blockbusters like "Babel" and local Chinese films.
The media outlets say that "The Host" is expected to sweep the 20th Asian Film Awards to be held Tuesday in Hong Kong.
