'The Throne' is the winner of Chuseok by attracting 4 million viewers to theater in 13 days since released

Movie "The Throne" has brought 4 million viewers in 13 days since it was released. For the three days of Chuseok holiday, the movie attracted 670,000 viewers to theaters proving its potential power.

According to the integrated electronic system by Korea Film Council in the morning on September 29th, "The Throne" topped the box office by bringing 673,350 viewers to 934 theaters on September 23rd. The accumulated number of viewers so far is 4,263,947.

At this rate, the number of viewers will surpass 5 million by this weekend. It is faster than "Masquerade" based on the records so far.

"The Throne" tells the tragic story of a family, of which father, King Yeong-jo (Song Kang-ho) always had to be a King, and of which son, Crown Prince Sado (Yoo Ah-in) wanted to be a son to his father even if it was to be for just one moment.

Meanwhile, "Accidental Detective" ranked second at the box office with 356,699 viewers and 'Maze Runner: Scorch Trials' secured the third place at the box office with 231,241.
