'Transformers' Sets Record in Ticket Sales

The U.S. blockbuster "Transformers" has sold six million tickets, a new record for foreign movies, amidst continued concern over a crisis in domestic film.
The film's import distributor CJ Entertainment says 90-thousand-600 more people watched the movie Wednesday for a nationwide total of six-point-35 million viewers, the highest ever for a foreign-made movie.
"Lord of the Rings: Return of the King" set the previous record of five-point-98 million tickets in late 2003.
"Transformers" had its premiere in South Korea on June 28th. The six million milestone was reached in just 21 days.
