'Wolf Daddy' wins Semi Grand Prix Award in Japan's Hida International Animation Festival of Folktales and Fables

Producer Jang Hyeong-yoon's , which has been on the spotlight through various animation festivals throughout the world, has won Semi Grand Prix Award in Japan's Hida International Animation Festival of Folktales and Fables which has held on March 17 in Gifu, Japan.

This animation festival emphasizes on 'Folktales and Fables' as the subject and awards pictures that are lyrical and well of storytelling. The festival is running for the 5th year this year.

is a heartening story about a white wolf, a story writer, who becomes a father of a six-year old 'Young-Hee'. He has to choose the order of importance between becoming a great story writer, and raising Young-Hee.

has won Hiroshima award(2nd place) in Hiroshima Animation Festival, whichis one of the top three animation festivals in the world. It has also received outstanding achievements in Japan's Doga CG Animation Contest, Special award in Korea Animation Award, and outstanding achievement award in Tokyo Anime Fair. It's also due to release DVD in Japan in the near future.

Producer Jang Hyeong-yoon stated that he's "delighted since I received an award I didn't even think of getting", and added simply that "I think that I should work harder". Jang is currently producing his next animation ("Indie Anibox : Selma's Protein Coffee") in KOCCA Animation Production Studio, which is operated by Korea Culture & Content Agency (CEO Seo, Byung-Moon). The production is set to finish by this summer.
