1st Korean Culture Center Opens in Latin America

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism will hold an opening ceremony for the first Korean culture center in Central and South America in Argentina on November 30.

Named the "Central and South American Korean Culture Center, the center will publicize Korean culture in the Spanish-speaking region of Central and South Americas and promote cultural exchanges.

Based in downtown Buenos Aires, the center is a four-story building with a movie theater, a culture product section, an exhibition hall, a seminar room, a Korean-language study room, and an outdoor stage.

The opening ceremony will be attended by officials from the culture ministries of South Korea and Argentina. The ceremony will also include an exhibition of traditional Korean industrial arts and a traditional music performance organized by the Cultural Foundation of the National Museum of Korea.
