2006 Indi Anifest's directors' preliminary meeting

Staffs and directors participating in the 2006 Indi Anifest, co-hosted by the Korea Culture and Content Agency (KOCCA, CEO: Suh, Byung-Moon) and the Korean Independent Animation Association (President: Lee, Yong-Bae), had a preliminary meeting at a cafeteria around Hongik University on Oct. 13.

"With this year's new section, 'Public Animation', we discussed what we think is the best direction independent animation should take", said Na, Gi-Yong, vice president of the Korean Independent Animation Association. He urged all the staffs and directors to "do your best to make this festival as meaningful and successful as possible, as directors whose works will be included in the festival's program will be working directly with the festival's preparation and staging".

To be held from Oct. 27 to 31 at the Seoul Animation Center's Screening Hall, the 2006 Indi Anifest will kick off with the screening of the animation The Hell (The Two Lives), by director Yeon Sang-ho. There will also be a diversity of exciting events including 'The Night of Undead Bodies', 'Screening of KIAFA's Independently Produced Animations', and '2006 Indi Anifest Free Market'.
