2NE1 Sweeps Filipino Music Chart

Girl group 2NE1 has swept the Filipino music scene with their new song "Lonely".

According to MYX on the 3rd, the largest music chart in the Philippines, the girls ranked at number one by jumping one spot from 2nd place on June 2nd. This is even better than how they're doing on the domestic scene with "Lonely" placing third on Korea's Melon real-time charts.

On a side note, there were more examples of kpop groups doing well on the international front. Girls' Generation placed 7th with "Mr. Taxi" on the same chart while CNBLUE's "Thank You" came in at first on Taiwan's G-MUSIC weekly charts for the week of May 27-June 2. f(x) was hot on its heels with "Pinocchio (Danger)" at 2nd, and once again, Girls' Generation's "Mr. Taxi" at third.
