2PM Junsu unlikely to join Wonder Girls' North America tour

Boy band 2PM member Junsu is unlikely to be joining the rest of his members for the Wonder Girls' North America tour this month, according to his agency JYP Entertainment (JYPE) on Friday.

"The members of 2PM have departed from Korea because they will open the Wonder Girls' tour but Junsu will stay back and take time to recover from his knee injury", an official from JYPE told Asia Economic Daily over the phone.

The official also added that JYPE has yet to make a decision on whether Junsu will be able to join the rest of his band members for the tour midway.

Junsu has been unable to perform on music shows since mid-July after damaging the knee cartilage in his right leg.

2PM will return to Korea on June 12 after opening nine of the girls' 27 shows, titled "Wonder World Tour" which kicks off in Washington D.C. on Friday (EST).

2PM, consisted of other members Ok Taecyeon, Nichkhun, Wooyoung, Lee Junho and Chansung, was created under major talenthouse JYP Entertainment.

They are currently enjoying their return to the music scene with their third single album "Don't Stop Can't Stop" featuring their title track "Without U".

The group will hold a two-day concert in Seoul on July 31 and August 1 at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul, followed by two other performances in Busan on August 7 and 8 held at BEXCO.
