50 Years of Korea-Australia Diplomatic Ties Celebrated in Sydney

A performance celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and Australia took place at Sydney Town Hall in Australia on Monday.
The event was attended by over 14-hundred government officials from both countries including Korea's Culture Minister, Choung Byoung-gug.
And a Korean Cultural Office also opened in Sydney on Monday, which is the first in Oceania and the 17th in the world.
The year 2011 is designated as Korea-Australia Friendship Year, a decision made during President Lee Myung-bak's visit to the country in 2009.
