5G Service Draws 3 Million Subscribers

Korea is far and away the global front-runner in 5G penetration.

Mobile carriers estimate the number of 5G subscribers here has now surpassed 3 million, accounting for a whopping 85 percent of the global total. Official data from the government has yet to be released.

Korea became the world's first country to launch commercial 5G services in April.
