[ABU]Who is the Best Artist of the Asia-Pacific Region?

The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union(ABU)'s General Assembly will open in Seoul on Tuesday.

As a precursor to the event, the ABU Radio Song Festival was held on October 11th at KBS Hall in Yeoido, Seoul. The ABU Radio Song Festival, in its inaugural year, is a radio music festival for Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union's member countries. A total of 26 teams from 18 broadcasting stations in 15 countries participated in the preliminaries and 14 teams from 13 broadcasters in 11 countries participated in the main event.

The main MCs of the event were KBS announcer Han Suk-joon and singer Ailee. Teams representing Korea included Bily Acoustie and Afro-dino while other singers and groups from Bhutan, Australia, Iran, Indonesia, malasia, Pakistan, Singapore and Vietnam got on stage to show off them talents.

The contestants had survived preliminary rounds that took place for three months in their respective countries. The contestants were judged based on their musical talents and creativity.

After two hours of intense competition, the two-member boy band, Bily scoustie took home the Grand Prix trophy for their performance of "For a Rest" while the Gold went to Australia's Danielle Blakey for "Fearless".

Meanwhile, Korean singers SHINee, Lena Park, Kim Bum-soo and Ailee gave performances throughout the event. The ABU Radio Song Festival will be aired on October 21st through KBS Radio.
