Actor Zo In-sung discharged from army

Korea's heartthrob Zo In-sung was discharged after fulfilling his two-year mandatory military service at Osan Air Base, south of Seoul, Wednesday.
Some 400 fans gathered to celebrate and he held a small press conference to share his feelings. "I still can't believe I'm discharged yet. I think I will feel it when I arrive home", Jo said.
MBC's hit variety show "The Unlimited Challenge" installed a red balloon and placards to commemorate Jo's release. The placard read "Zo In-sung's Come Back at 'Something Happened in Misa-ri'" suggesting that Jo might join the program's special segment on rowing since Misa-ri is the place where they practice.
"'The Unlimited Challenge' is my favorite program, and I like them even more than girl groups", Jo said. "I am a big fan and I will appear on the program if possible".
Jo debuted in 1998 and starred in many hit dramas and movies such as the SBS drama "Something Happened in Bali" (2004) and movies "A Dirty Carnival" (2006) and "A Frozen Flower" (2008).
He was enlisted in the Air Force in 2009. During his service, Jo played the saxophone in the military band and hosted various events.
The actor will return to the entertainment scene with the movie "Kwon Bob" (working title). The project is a new work of Bae Jong, the director of the hit movie "Welcome to Dongmakgol" (2005).

배우 조인성(30)이 25개월의 군생활을 마치고 당당하게 전역했다.
조인성은 4일 오전 10시께 경기도 평택시 공군 작전사령부에서 전역 신고를 한 뒤, 군악대 후임들의 환송 행사를 마친 뒤, 부대 앞 위병소에서 팬들과 취재진을 만났다.
조인성은 전역 첫 소감으로 "멍하다 밖을 나온지 5분 밖에 안되서 부모님 얼굴을 봐야 그 기분을 알 수 있을 것 같다"고 말하며 벅찬 눈물을 숨기지 못했다.
기자회견을 마친 조인성은 자신을 기다리는 수 많은 팬들을 향해 손을 흔들고 악수를 하며 전역의 기쁨을 함께 나눴다.
이날 공군 작전 사령부 앞에는 2시간 전부터 조인성을 기다리는 취재진과 함께, 팬들이 몰려들어 식지 않은 그의 인기를 입증했다.
특히 팬들은 4대의 버스를 대절해 3대에는 국내팬이, 나머지 한대에는 일본 팬들이 단체로 현장을 찾는다. 이들 외에도 자가 차량, 혹은 대중교통을 이용해 현장을 찾는 팬들도 있어 약 400여명의 팬들이 조인성의 전역을 보기 위해 몰려들었다.
2008년 11월 입대한 조인성은 공군 군악대에서 25개월간 복무하며, 병무청의 병무홍보대사로 활동했으며, 각종 크고 작은 군 관련 행사에 참여해서 활약한 바 있다.
특히 조인성은 앞선 2일 공군참모총장으로 표창장을 받은 사실이 알려졌다. 소속사에 따르면 공군은 조인성에 대해 그 동안 성실하게 군복무에 임했던 것을 인정해 표창장을 수여했다.
한편 조인성은 8일 KBS 2TV '스타골든벨' 출연 후, 영화 '권법'과 CF 등으로 컴백할 예정이다.
