Actor Park Hae-jin receives award for his good deeds

Actor Park Hae-jin is going to be honored with a Seoul Special City Award.

According to the Korean Association of Social Welfare, Park Hae-jin will be getting an award at the 2017 Seoul Social Welfare Contest for his voluntary work. The actor has been making continuous contributions to society and helping with anything he can. He's known as the "icon of good deeds and charity" because he has donated over 1.7 billion won (~$1,508,053) to social crises like the Guryong Village, the Sewol Ferry, and childrens' hospitals. Despite his busy schedule, Park Hae-jin has made the time to donate coal to the needy and support needy children with the necessary school supplies.

Park Hae-jin will be awarded on the 5th next month.
