Actor Ryu Si-won wins Ferrari Challenge Race in China

Actor and singer Ryu Si-won has won the Ferrari Challenge Race held Sunday in the southern Chinese city of Zhuhai, said his management agency R's Company Monday. Ryoo was the first Korean to win the event.
The Ferrari Challenge was launched in 1993 and has held races in Europe and North America. This is the first time for the series to come to the Asia-Pacific region.
The race will be held four times in Asia annually and the Zhuhai event was the first of the four racing events for this year.
Forza Motors Korea, the Korean importer of Ferrari, sponsored Ryoo`s entry into the race and signed him as its corporate pitchman.
This year's event was held in the formats of Coppa Shell and the Trofeo Pirelli, named after an oil and tire company, respectively. The car selected for the race was 458 Challenge.
Ryoo quickly adapted to the car and finished first in the first and final races of the Shell class to grab the title.
