Tobis Media announced, "Won Tae-hee's "White Night - 2012" has been invited as a candidate for Dragon and Tiger Awards at the 31st VIFF on the 27th".

Along with the Montreal IFF, VIFF is one of the greatest film festivals in Canada and it represents the North Americas. It is famous for being the North American window for Asian movies. The Dragon and Tiger Award was made in 1994 and is given to a rookies director in Asian movies or one who has made a second movie. Won Tae-hee took on the role of German air attendant Won-gyu who returns to Korea for the first time in 2 years because of a painful memory.
