Actress Chae Soo-bin Catches Her Breath Between TV Series

In the space of less than 10 months, actress Chae Soo-bin has appeared in two highly successful period dramas, "Love in the Moonlight" and "Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People".

Chae doesn't seem to mind tight, busy schedules. In fact, she has fond memories of the shoot and still misses the cast and crew of "Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People", which wrapped its 30-episode run about a month ago.

"I thought I would cry when it ended, but it hasn't fully sunk in yet. It was a long series, but it didn't feel that way because there was such great chemistry among the cast and crew. I'll miss the show very much", she said.

In "Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People", Chae's character devotes herself completely to a love that is unrequited, and is uncompromising in expressing her feelings. In reality, however, she couldn't be more different. "I'm quite timid in real life. If I like someone, I can't even talk to them", she said.

Chae has worked steadily since making her debut in a short drama in 2014. She is already scheduled to appear in a new KBS drama starting in July, giving her very little time off between shows. "I've enjoyed all the work I've done. After I finish a series, I'm happy to get right to work on another".

Though she likes to be prepared, Chae has learned to be flexible. "You can make plans, but I've found that life doesn't always follow them. I just try to focus on the present", she said. "If I hadn't become an actress, I think I would have chosen a career involving animals, like working in a children's zoo. My dream is to live in a hut on a farm somewhere, caring for abandoned dogs or other animals".
